Summary
Paul never worked up the courage to tell John what he had seen the night he tripped. Whenever he thought about it, he saw the images burned into his mind and he lost his nerve. How could he ever speak about something so awful? It was like asking his parents what living through the war was like.
After a bad acid trip, Paul gives into John's request for exclusivity, but keeping his motivations a secret blows up in his face.

Summary
John was still standing there with that infuriatingly thoughtful expression, glasses slipping halfway down his nose now, like he was genuinely considering it.
“No, I mean it,” he says as he folds his arms, attempting to make some deeply serious point. “I’d definitely shag you if I'd seen you in the street, like. Proper beaut.”
OR: The fic where Paul wakes up one morning as a full blown woman. That's it. That's the entire plot.

Summary
He wasn’t sure who’d even brought the Ouija board – Pat or Iris, maybe – but he’d laughed when Cilla had played like a fortune teller in Nightmare Alley, making a spectacle of the game, while George and Ringo and Pat all fell about, and Paul hadn’t been bothered then. Was deft in the language of ghost stories from stretched summers on the beach at Anglesey and folded notes during dull lessons at the Inny and fractured comedowns at the Bambi Kino where trying to spook each other with stories in the dark had somehow taken the teeth out of hungry and uncertain nights.
(Knew them maybe best of all for the way he could still hear A Christmas Carol in his mother’s voice, her scouse lilt trimmed to something halfway proper as she’d folded him and Mike into her sides and played ghosts past, present and yet to come.)
-
George spells Paul's mother's name as a joke on a ouija board, and John and Paul connect in the aftermath.
