Summary
Lance died on that shield station. He knows he did. He also knows that no one cares enough about him to acknowledge that fact. Well at least he thought that was the case.
While road-tripping across the universe, Keith and Shiro find out exactly what happened to Lance on the Omega Shield mission. Something doesn't quite add up with the behavior of some of the team and Lance is suddenly very much in danger. They're fighting a war on two fronts now, trying to keep Lance safe from one of their own and racing to Earth so they can stop Haggar.

Summary
Lance is absolutely ecstatic when things start finally going right with the princess, since their return to earth it seems as though he actually might have a shot with the girl of his dreams. She even said yes to a date with him! However, as the day approaches things get a little complicated when he has a few awkward encounters with Keith of all people. When his big date doesn't go quite as planned it leaves him questioning if Allura is truly right for him. Which is coincidentally when they receive a distress signal from Shiro.
Something is wrong with Keith.

A water droplet bounced off his helmet, and Lance sighed. For once in his life, he didn’t want rain. Not now. The sky eased from pale white to murky grey in minutes. The Paladin reached Black’s huge paw and casually knocked on the cool metal. “I need to know if you’re alive, man. Common courtesy,” he said, feeling a chilly panic crawl up his throat. He shot down any pride he had left and added a quiet “please.”

“She passed away about 8 years ago. She gave me this bracelet right before she died and I thought it was girly so I ‘lost’ it. Basically I dropped it on the playground at school and hoped some chick would grab it.” [...]
“D-did it look like that?” Keith asked, bewildered and eyes wide.
“Yes,” Lance breathed, “Exactly like that.”
