Colin was waiting at the back door. He grabbed her hand, leading her to a bench in the rose garden. He pointed to the sky. Slowly, the sky began to lighten as the sun started to rise on the horizon. She shivered from the cool morning air.
He wrapped his arm around her. “I wanted to spend some time with you before I have to leave for the train station. We didn’t get that much time last night. I thought we could watch the sunrise together.” There was a long silence. “Pen, will you write to me?”
“Of course I will. I always write to you,” she said.
“Pinky swear?” he said, holding out his hand with the pinky finger extended.
She giggled, holding out her pinky finger as well and looping it onto his, “Yes, I pinky swear.”***

Summary
