Summary
What if Ilya and Shane never hooked up? What if Shane Hollander texted a wrong number in the middle of the night and Ilya Rozanov responded? What follows is a years long friendship (kinda) of two people who get to know everything about each other except their actual identities. Who is the first person Shane comes out to? The person he's been texting for years whose real name he still doesn't know. Who does Ilya spill his guts to about his mom and how awful his family is? The weird person who texted him accidentally one night and then didn't stop. It will take years before either of them realizes the truth about their texting partner.
In the background, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov's iconic rivalry is still what everyone in the hockey world talks about, and they still annoy the shit out of each other.This fic is mostly written, and will be roughly 20,000 words when fully published.
