He was three months into fucking the kid, no strings attached thank you very much when Dennis cornered him in the South hallway during a quiet moment.
“I’m pregnant.” No preamble, no sugar coating it. (Robby thought sometimes that maybe Dennis knew him better than he let on.)
After seeing so many mentions of Jack being the father who stepped up on Twitter this came to me like a fever dream and I had to write it to get it out. Normally I am very pro Hucklerobby but that man is driving me crazy this season so I wrote him like a total dick for this fic. Enjoy!

Summary
After a lifetime to doing what was expected of him, Stede Bonnet finds himself jobless, disowned, divorced (happily) and newly out. Summary
There’s no real rationale to what Dennis asks next. His brain is overloaded with new information, which piles onto his already spiraling conundrum of attempting to explore his own sexuality. It causes a deadly concoction. The result?
“Can you kiss me?”
It’s blurted out with zero thought. An accumulation of I want to kiss a man that I trust and I trust Doctor Robby, followed by he has the experience, so he’ll know what to do.
The request shocks them both. Robby sits up straight, eyes widening and cheeks definitely flushing, Dennis is sure of it this time. He doubts he looks any better, slack-jawed and burning impossibly hot as his shoulders tighten up so high that he’s sure they’re reaching his ears.
OR
Dennis realizes he may not be straight after Amy kisses him. In an effort to find answers, he finds himself asking for Robby's help.

“No, you’re not,” Dennis scoffed, hiding a smile as he looked down.

Summary
They had all seen it. Humiliation crawled hot beneath his skin. And because humiliation had always been intolerable, because shame had always felt like a hot iron down his throat, Robby’s mind did what it had trained itself to do since childhood. It turned the shame into anger. He latched onto it greedily.
Dennis had no right to do that in front of everyone. No right to challenge him on the floor. No right to humiliate him in his own department. If Dennis had a problem with the way he ran things, he should have waited. Should have handled it privately. Should have pulled him aside instead of dressing him down like some reckless intern.
Robby clung to that narrative desperately. He had to. Because if he admitted, even for one second, that Dennis had been right… Then he would have to face what he had become in that moment. And he wasn’t ready for that.
Or, Established Hucklerobby argue very publicly in the ED. Robby, of course, spirals about it. after.
