Dean sides with John. He doesn't say all the same words, in fact he never says any, but he watches the whole thing and the emotion in his eyes is hate. Of all the various things Sam left back in the box, the one he regrets most is whichever would have made that hurt. But the regret is cursory. Even if they poison him, he finally got the hidden parts of Dean.

Summary
