“I speak truth, my Lord. I mean to enter the lists.”
“Yes, and every urchin from Flea Bottom wanting to make a name for himself wishes to enter the lists, boy. Do you have someone who will vouch for you?”
Seven hells, not this again.
In which, three years after the events at Ashford Meadow, all Dunk wants is to enlist in the tournament at King's Landing. He runs into trouble entering his name in the lists. Again. Summary
Dunk has two soul marks appear on his 18th name-day: one on his left arm and one on the back of his neck. It's known that your soul brand appears where your soulbound first touches you. But, being a commoner, Dunk was never educated on what his marks truly mean. Commoners aren't expected to meet their soulbound, so why waist time educating them on the subject.
After the death of his ser, Dunk continues toward the tournament in hopes of finding glory as a knight. He finds a lot more than glory.

Summary
It began with small, innocent touches that would paint his cheeks pink, but Baelor never noticed. How could he? The prince was generous and warm. He meant nothing by it, and it was Dunk who made it into an issue. It would have been easy to ignore, only that Duncan was also made to undress him, help him to his bath, and lift his naked boy from the copper tub, all while the tips of his ears flamed hotly and his eyes desperately looked anywhere but at the prince's bare body. He had a duty to care, to protect, and Duncan would see to it, even when Baelor's needs, brought by injuries that Duncan was to blame for, dragged him down an increasingly uncomfortable and strange path.
Duncan is asked to fulfill his vow to Prince Baelor as his caretaker at Ashford, while the Prince is recovering from his wounds. He slowly comes to find that the honour-bound relationship with his sworn liege Lord is not what he had innocently dreamed of once.
