Summary
Wednesday begins experiencing recurring visions of her aunt Ophelia, imprisoned in her grandmother’s house. These visions deepen into a psychic connection: she no longer just sees Ophelia’s memories, but feels her fear, anxiety, and desperation as if they were her own. Only Enid and Tyler know the truth, strengthening the trust between the three of them and allowing moments of quiet intimacy and loyalty—especially between Wednesday and Enid.
As the story unfolds, Wednesday’s psychic abilities and Tyler’s nature as a Hyde are explored in greater depth, revealing unexpected connections between their powers. Wednesday glanced at him from the corner of her eye. Her expression didn’t change, but something in her eyes turned slightly critical. The elevator began to descend.
“Is that The Smiths?” she asked suddenly.
He raised an eyebrow and pulled out one earbud.
“Yeah.”
“I hate The Smiths.”
Tyler frowned.
“Excuse me, what?”
“I said I hate The Smiths.”

Her body went flying out the window, landing with a sickening thud against the pavement. For a moment, just a moment, he thought she was already gone. She was twisted in all the wrong ways, lying in a pool of blood and glass, too still. Then he caught it, shallow breathing, his heart soared, still alive. That was all the confirmation the Hyde needed. He hit the ground hard and was already moving, scooping her up in his claws before the second gunshot cracked through the air.

Summary
Thing tapped and tapped again against Wednesday’s shoulder. Whatever he said made Wednesday look lectured as she schooled her facial expression and straightened back up.
Tyler pouted just slightly before following her lead. He rubbed his thumb in circles against her hand already missing the feel of her lips on his.
“We’re wasting time. We’ll have to save the flirting for later,” Wednesday declared, starting to drag them out by their locked together hands.
“Did you just admit we were flirting?,” Tyler had a shit-eating grin on his face. “And did you just imply we’ll do it more later?”
“Shut up and focus on escaping unless you want me to leave you to rot in here,” Wednesday snapped at him but her light blush showed her embarrassment at being called out.
Tyler fought not to laugh at her. God Wednesday was so cute. He mimed with his one free hand a zipper closing his mouth and watched as Wednesday looked as if she was questioning her attraction to him.
