Summary
Astra grows up in what others would consider an unusual home. Her mother, the sole heir of a vast fortune, allows them to live a comfortable life in the outskirts of London. Astra is home-schooled by private tutors and proven to be a quick learner in many of her subjects.
Shortly after Astra’s 15th birthday strange things starts happening around her. People that draw her ire have a strange series of bad luck. Nightmares causes storms to appear out of nowhere. She accidentally turns her clothes different colours. Later that same year, just at the start of the summer of 1890, two strange people knocks on the Prince family door. They introduce themselves as witches and wizards, and tell the young girl that she too has magical abilities.
Geneviève and Astra Prince are told of a school meant to hone the girls magical skills, far up in the Scottish highlands. The ministry representatives also tell her that Professor Eleazar Fig will be tutoring her before the term starts, so that she can catch up to the other fifth years.

Summary
Andie and Astarion fall in love at first bite after the Nautiloid crash. Andie wonders if she’s enough for him because she constantly questioned her worth under Lolth. She doesn’t know if she can be ‘good’ after all the suffering she’s caused for her chaotic evil goddess.
After meeting a Gur hunter, Astarion is reminded of how guilty he felt kidnapping their children. As he adventures with the party, he’s surprised by how much he wants to help people. He’s overjoyed to celebrate his sexual freedom with Andie, but he’s eventually plagued by traumatic memories.
These two form a party with three other unlikely heroes to take down the Absolute. Vincent has impulsive homicidal urges but is otherwise just a happy go lucky guy. Minthara primarily values revenge but has a soft spot for her sister, Andie. Arabella has been blessed by Silvanus and is grieving her parents.
