Of course it was no surprise Fyodor would've known that for very, very long. He had lost it—immortality has long since robbed him from the sweetness of this Earth, from the gentle kiss of wind and the fleeting experience of "first time,"
Nothing more than a curse, nothing less than a gift.
Every face he's cherished smudged into the next. Yet Nikolai's laughter cut through decades like a dagger and silk with a smile who shined so bright it almost convinced Fyodor to believe in hope again,
but time travellers are cruel without meaning to be. They never stay in the right order.
With time, they will no longer waste seconds just to know what it feels like to ground with the present, that it has to mean something other than being real.
