Takumi only wanted to save them—dreamt of it and wished for it to the point it became a mantra. Still, he was pathetic, stupid, incompetent; his weakness left him with only one option. A gradual transformation into something his former self would've despised. Perhaps that was why Eito was so drawn to him—even before the drugs.
He breathed in slowly. His head was starting to throb, and his only respite was found in the gentle brushing of his hair by someone he once called his nemesis. Someone whom he loathed to trust, someone he knew he'd forgive again and again.

Summary
With this insane killing game going on, it was ridiculous to indulge in this. But it was also stupid to say no to it. You could die at any moment, so why stop? You couldn’t think of one good reason why you should. He was so confusing, but the confusion felt like a drug.
So, the bombs were really just fireworks. But there's still a lot of information to gather and, against your better judgment, some feelings to parse through. Sharing your cottage with him was both a really bad idea and a really, really great one.
