Summary
The Black Knights wonder about Zero’s motivations, identity, and why he seems uncharacteristically attached to Kururugi Suzaku. They don't need to wonder anymore as the pieces fall into place—when they are somehow sucked into Zero's personal memories through that mysterious girl, C.C.
(This is similar to a "characters watch the show" type of fic, but it's only a deep-dive into Lelouch. And it's only the Black Knights reacting. First chapters are Gen focusing on canon details—including picture dramas, sound episodes/audio dramas, and scenes from the light novels. Diethard put away his phone. “What do you suggest we do, Ohgi? Drop hints?”
“Exactly!” Ohgi said, lowering his arms with relief. “I want Zero to feel it’s safe for him to confess his identity, on his own terms. He won’t feel safe unless he knows we won’t judge him or turn on him for his background.”

Summary
Ohgi wants to give the new Black Knights recruit, Kururugi Suzaku, the benefit of the doubt. But several others within the organization are determined to spy on the controversial Japanese youth, convinced he is about to run back to Britannia at the earliest opportunity. Ohgi really has no choice but to accompany his comrades, if he wants to keep this impromptu spy mission from blowing up in Zero's absence.
Shockingly enough, Kururugi doesn't run back to Britannia.
He does run to a Britannian.
After witnessing them together, Ohgi makes a silent vow. He will convince Zero to let this Lelouch boy join the Black Knights too, so Kururugi can fight as his best self.

Blackmail Gone Wrong focuses on when their happy bubble bursts and society reacts to their relationship in the worst way possible.
All with modified CG canon-verse aspects as they, and others around them, journey through the ups and downs of both personal and societal consequences.
"Methods" could work as an alternative Blackmail scene as well, detailing how Lelouch might deal with Suzaku's bullies.
