“So… are you gonna tell me what you’re doing here?” Tim asked, giving her that look.
“I came to say hi to Lucy before practice. And you too, I suppose.” She explained, realizing that she needed to head out soon. If she was late to practice, her coach was going to 100% make her swim an extra five laps at least. “Are you going to be home before me?”
“Sure, if crime follows a schedule for the rest of the day. But, hopefully.”
“Do you want me to pick up dinner, or are you gonna cook?”
“Uh, yeah, sure, why don’t you go pick up something on the way home? You can choose.” Tim told her, reaching to grab his credit card from his money clip. “Here, take my card.”
“Great, thank you.” She said in a sing-song voice, dragging out the last syllable.
“Please don’t lose it. I don’t want to cancel another credit card.”

Season 1-2 smut.
Chapter 1 takes place during episode 1x07, when Tim breaks into Isabel’s apartment to get the heroin out and Lucy intervenes. Tensions rise high but eventually Lucy proposes a drink and Tim walks her to her apartment.
“Tim, do you wanna grab a drink?”
Tim turned around and looked at her with curiosity in his eyes, and something more. He should have said no. She was his rookie and he was her TO. But now he was feeling raw, an emotional wreck. And the warmth that he saw in those big brown saucers made him want to stay in her presence.

"Hello, is this Tim Bradford on the line?" A woman asks, calmly and collectively.
"Yes, this is he." He responds, intrigued.
"Hi, sorry to bother, this is social services. Do you happen to know an Isabel Davis by any chance?" Isabel? Tim couldn't possibly know what this was about. He and Isabel hadn't been in contact since they settled the divorce.
"Uh, yes, I do," Tim says, apprehensively.
"Well, I'm sorry to inform you that she was arrested last night, and I believe I have your daughter with me, Avery Davis?" Daughter? Last time he checked, he only had one daughter. Who was certainly not named Avery.
"I'm sorry, I don't know an Avery Davis." He tells the woman on the line that he's now assuming social services.
"You're listed on the birth certificate." The woman tells him.
