Summary
Katie Pearlhead. She started as nobody, rising to notoriety amongst an entire thief market. She got scammed by a group of rowdy "heroes" and then rather than letting that get to her, she made it into her identity and climbed even higher. She reinvented herself as she resurrected the Court of the Thief Queen and then she flew so high. She changed once more to get her revenge on those that hurt her…
And when she was rejected at the altar, that was the only time she didn't try and crawl back to power.

Summary
The biology of a Hobbit was a finely tuned instrument of comfort, designed by generations of peace and the steady rhythm of the Four Farthings. Among their many quirks, the leathered soles of their feet, the ability to move with supernatural silence, and the requirement of seven meals a day,was an instinct rarely seen by outsiders: the Nesting.
In the Shire, Nesting was a seasonal affair. When the first frost kissed the pumpkins in the fields, every Hobbit hole from Michel Delving to Buckland became a flurry of activity. Rugs were layered, wool was carded, and pillows were stacked until a Hobbit could dive into their bed and not be seen for three days.
But Nesting wasn't just for the cold. It was for the hurt. It was for the frightened.

Summary
As the eldest prince of the Line of Durin, Fíli had spent his entire life being groomed for the throne. He was taught to be calculating, steady, and disciplined. Yet, when the Company was out on the road, nobody seemed to see the hours he spent studying maps with Balin or checking the supplies with Dwalin. They only saw him when Kíli dragged him into a ditch, or when Kíli accidentally shot a farmer’s prize pig, or when Kíli decided to see if he could juggle loaded crossbows. Because they were brothers, and because they were nearly inseparable, the Company lumped Fíli into the exact same "reckless idiot" category as his younger sibling.

"Balin," Thorin muttered, shaking his head. "Tell me truly... did we just witness the absolute theft of my heir? Because I am reasonably certain that if that Hobbit tells Fíli to move the crown to the Shire, my nephew will pack it in a crate before sunrise."

Summary
Thorin was notorious for being overprotective of his favourite fur coat, and no one had ever been allowed to even touch it, as far as the dwarves of Erebor were aware.
Which was why they were quite shocked when they saw Bilbo Baggins, at their reunion in the Shire, wearing nothing but the aforementioned fur.

Summary
The first thing Thorin sees when he wakes up is his own hand resting on the bedsheets. Atop it rests another, smaller hand. It feels warm and looks soft, the skin unworried by forge burns and blemishes. It is not a dwarf’s hand; he knows as much. Yet he cannot quite gather for himself if that is of any importance.
Or, Thorin loses his memory and quite forgets that the hobbit by his bedside whom he wishes to court and marry is already his husband. Everyone else find this hilarious.
