2089: V's moved out of Night City, and settled down somewhere in the state of New Jersey. One night, out of the blue, she receives a message from Judy, begging for her help. They haven't seen each other face to face in over twelve years. She confides to Valerie that her wife, Bianca, has become increasingly abusive and possessive. Judy says she's basically being held captive in their home. She has no money, no car, no job. Nothing.... Bianca controls everything. She asks V to forgive her for what happened in 2079, and to let her come and stay with her.... But how does Valerie feel about all this? Has she moved on with her life, and does she really want to revisit old memories, and heartaches?
This story will explore the ever-changing dynamics of V & Judy's relationship in the future. It will attempt to answer the question: Does true love really last forever, or is it nothing more than a fantasy?
