    Imagine an alternate universe, where every character is changed. I, myself, had a challenge to do so. Yet, I believe I have a suitable cast swapping:
    Envy plays Ed, Ed plays Greed, Greed plays Ling, Ling plays Gluttony, Gluttony plays Jean Havoc and Vato Falman, Falman plays Yoki, Yoki plays Maes Hughes, Hughes plays Kimblee, Kimblee plays Roy Mustang, Mustang plays Lust, Lust plays Riza Hawkeye, Hawkeye plays Wrath, Wrath plays Izumi Curtis, Izumi plays Olivier, Olivier plays Pride, Pride plays Alphonse, Alphonse plays Envy.
    I will choose not to spoil the rest, but I think that takes care of the vital cast.

    Amestris: the militaristic nation of alchemy, hidden deep within the Quirkless Sector. Most think its mysteries will never be solved, and Class 1-A is inclined to agree—until suddenly summer camp is canceled and they’re headed on a field trip to the most mysterious country in the world, blissfully ignorant of the conspiracies that have been brewing under the surface for centuries.

    The State Alchemist stuck playing babysitter, however, knows more than he should. That’s what got him into this mess in the first place.

    In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked.

    Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Führer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside.

    …

    Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the greater world of Heroes and Villains. It remains to be seen who’s more traumatized by the encounter.

    There was something strange about this world. Something in the air. Ed wasn't quite sure what it was, but he was going to get to the bottom of this.

    When Edward Elric travels through the portal after defeating Father, Truth refuses to accept Ed's alchemy in exchange for Alphonse. He is faced with three choices, none appealing. Either return empty-handed, sacrifice his own life for Alphonse's, or do a favor for Truth. He picks option three, and finds himself waking up on a trash-covered beach in a strange world, one where every man, woman, and child have some strange power. In order to get home, he must accomplish whatever it is that Truth wants from him, and unfortunately, the being is not exactly inclined to provide thorough explanations.
