A series of #Lionfish vignettes, in loose chronological order, placing Gaming and Freminet into the lazy and verdant England countryside, post-WW1, in and around the village of Banbury Cross—from the old nursery rhyme. Poor, lonesome and socially-ostracized, they are bosom friends, fumbling lovers, and the victims of sad circumstance. Together they dream of an escape which will never come.
Inspired by the novel, “At Swim, Two Boys,” written by Jamie O’Neill; by the #Chennett pirate AU, author @amarettiii; and by Tracy Chapman’s 1988 single, “Fast Car.”
