He liked routine. Routine was warm. Routine was predictable. Routine did not suddenly look you in the eye while shirtless and say, “Hey. You must be Euijoo.”
…Not that that was a thing that had ever happened.
Or would happen.
Or would short-circuit his entire nervous system if it did.
Anyway.

“My car,” he pointed out calmly. Nicholas nodded.
“Your car,” he replied.
“Someone has painted a penis on my car,” Euijoo continued to point out.
His voice was scarily calm as he tilted his head slightly while making the observation. He was speaking in a perfectly casual tone, as if merely talking about the weather, which would have been much more comforting if not for the tic beginning to form in his left eye.
“They fucked with Lacey. No one fucks with Lacey,” Euijoo deadpanned. Nicholas jumped at the sound of the F-word coming from Euijoo’s mouth like a nun at a sailor’s gathering. In his mind’s eye, he saw himself clutching his pearls.
Euijoo turned to Nicholas with a completely smooth lack of expression save for the slight tilt to the corners of his mouth that did not prepare Nicholas for the words that were about to come out next.
“Nicho, I’m going to kill them.”
Nicholas just nodded. “Of course.”

Summary
He slings his leg across Nicholas’s lap, as if that will help him sap some of Nicholas’s personality off of him. Unbothered by things like the clock. Nicholas’s hand drops to Euijoo’s thigh, fingers curled around the pit of his knee. He rubs Euijoo’s leg idly, tapping his phone with his other hand.
