Summary
When an the company arrive in Imladris during their quest, Lindir thinks they are in way over their heads. So, he decides to join them as they will need all the help they can get. Along the way, bonds are formed and lives are altered possibly for the better.
(In other words what if Lindir went on the quest to reclaim Erebor. I also wanted to elaborate more on what I head canon to be his backstory.)

Summary
All of the dwarves survive the Battle of the Five Armies, but Bilbo must return to the Shire to sort out his old life and make way for a new one in Erebor. Over one year later, Bilbo comes back to the Lonely Mountain with a recently orphaned Frodo. King Thorin isn't quite sure what to make of this new, tiny addition to his Company.

Summary
“All rise for the King Under the Mountain, Thorin the Second Oakenshield,” Balin announced. The assembled dwarves rose, a respective silence filling the courtroom. As Thorin swept his gaze over them once more, the sound of a pin’s dropping could have been heard in the hush. “Bleh,” Laslûna declared, then shook her rattle.
A typical day for Thorin does usually proceed like this: Get up at sunrise, have breakfast with Bilbo, attempt to spoon porridge or berries into Laslûna’s mouth and laugh when it gets all over her face, dress for court, go out and actually hold court or attend councils or many other bureaucratic situations. Today, however, there is a slight change: the members of Thorin’s family have highly packed schedules for the day, leaving Little Luna without a minder. This was how Thorin came to be holding court with an extremely adorable, mildly cantankerous, but most especially vocal infant on his knee. Not that he was complaining.Series

Summary
It takes Bard’s mind a moment to process what he’s seeing. He gasps and his hand moves quickly grasping the collar of Thranduil’s chest plate and pulling him down to Bard’s level so he can confirm what he’s seeing. A great scar is covering the left side of Thranduil’s face. Tendons and muscle completely exposed, his left eye white and unseeing.
