Summary
My story on what I really believed happened to The Beatles in India 1968. What sparked the events post India, mainly between John and Paul.
After returning from India something in The Beatles shifted and never was the same again. John is different guarded, suspicious, and distant from Paul. Paul senses something has changed, but brushes it off, telling himself it’s just a phase. Deep down, though, he knows something ugly is at play, likely fueled by George’s influence in India.
Then Yoko arrives, not just as a presence, but as a force. She’s always by John’s side, even in the studio, speaking as if she belongs. Paul tries to act like everything is normal, but inside, he’s unraveling. For the first time, he realizes he might be losing John not just as a bandmate, but as a partner in their creative bond. And that thought shakes him to his core.
PLEASE NOTE: I do believe that John and Paul loved each other deeply but I am not a believer that they were ever lovers. But I do think that it was something they both thought about, struggled with for the entirety of their relationship.
