Summary
He remembered feeling content, strangely…happy. That itself was a bit unsettling. A dream, but it felt more like a memory, or perhaps a hallucination. Maybe he was in the middle of a long-overdue nervous breakdown.

Summary
Essek's heart jumped. Making him a comforting meal was a sweet gesture, but having Molly bring it to him while he laid in bed like, a- a spoiled prince,....It would be terribly selfish of him to accept that, wouldn't it? Cheeks and ears burning, he tried to protest. But, Molly just shushed and tutted away his objections. In the blink of an eye, he found himself tucked into bed resting against a mound of pillows.
-----Essek comes down with a fever. He doesn't want to take too much, but Molly is having none of it.

A new student arrives at the institute. She’s nice, but a bit closed off. Of course, it would be hypocritical of Kurt to point that out considering he started off their introductions with a complete lie.

Summary
Legolas hits the dreaded growth spurt about a month shy from his 50th nameday. Thranduil receives the troubling reports of his sleepless nights, plagued with aches and pains, crying and miserable with no salves nor massages that offer any relief for the stretching joints and tired muscles.
It is a common phase amongst elflings, and nothing — as the physician emphasizes in his report, for his Highness to concern himself over.
(Or the story of how Legolas got drunk for the first time)

Summary
“Do … do any of you three listen to, ah, the podcast ‘What the Ghost?’ at all? The last episode, particularly.”
“What the what now?”
It rang a bell, actually, now that Tim thought about it; but not in any context that made sense in the same general region as Jonathan Sims.
“Is that the podcast about hauntings?” Martin perked up a little at knowing the answer. “And, well, spooky stuff?”
And, right, that was why Tim had suffered a cognitive disconnect. The podcast was a popular, light-hearted and open-minded exploration of the supernatural, while Jon’s relationship to the supernatural was one of exasperated dismissal. Why on earth he even worked here in the first place … but that just led to thoughts of why Tim, himself, was here and to unhealed wounds and … Tim would prefer to gently mock Jon for listening to a ‘spooky’ podcast, of his own apparent volition.
“Yes, Martin, it deals with … ‘spooky’ stuff. And, also, apparently, practical jokes.”
