He glimpsed at the clock on the coffee table. 11:58. They had agreed that Kiba would get to Kankuros’ at 12. Excitement pooled in his stomach as he watched the hands on the clock. He checked over the table again, knowing he hadn’t forgotten anything but still feeling the need to check.
DING DONG
He shot up and hurried to the door, his heartbeat quickening with every step. He gave himself a quick check in the mirror before opening the door.
