“Can I get a cappuccino to go?” Nicole asked as her eyes casually glanced downward in preparation of rejection. She knew Waverly wouldn’t sell her one because the bar was closed, but it would give her an excuse to “take a raincheck” and get out, leaving the flustered brunette curious about the new deputy.
“...You sure you wanna take it to go?” Waverly asked, a clear spark of intent in her eyes. “You could stay and enjoy it with me?”

Summary
Waverly is stuck in a dating rut when a ridiculous misunderstanding with Nicole, her best friend that she's known for a decade, changes everything. What starts as Waverly thinking Nicole invited her over for casual sex accidentally exposes a mutual attraction, leaves Waverly questioning her sexuality, and forces her to realize that she’s falling for her best friend.

“....Dolls” Waverly says in a terrifyingly calm voice “what was in the goo?”
“I’m afraid that's classified” Dolls exclaimed.
“Classified… are you serious! I just heard Wynonna's thoughts!” Waverly yells pointing her finger into Dolls chest backing him up against the BBD door.

Summary
The EFA Fic Challenge 2026 prompt this round was Audacity. I wasn’t entering the challenge, but the prompt wouldn’t leave me alone, so I ended up writing three separate stories anyway.
Three different settings. Three different versions of Waverly and Nicole. Three different acts of audacity. Four thousand words each.
