This was such a sweet story. This is the second story from this author that I've read and I'm 2 for 2 making my collection. Which I'm extremely selective about, I've got 400+ finished stories and maybe 35 in my collection so I'm thrilled to find an active author that I enjoy this much. There aren't very many complete MerAU's for BakuDeku and I really enjoy them so its nice to have such a well written story that is just a good plot but also well researched. You can tell they did the work to understand rehabilitation and reintroduction. And I think they did such a beautiful job of communicating intelligence but with that difficult barrier of linguistics and human superiority getting in the way of understanding the intelligence of a species different than themselves.
