    For the record, this was all Vlad's fault.
    Danny is forced to attend school in California with his cousin in order to avoid jail time- a "generous" offer from Vlad. He knew the boy was sick, Madeline, really! It's alright! Danny should've wrung his neck- and while he intends to quietly go insane while his Obsession goes unfulfilled, he instead finds himself thrown into a centuries old battle between forces of good and evil.
    Keeping his ghostliness out of his cousin's view? That was a little more difficult, considering his cousin was the Trollhunter. What was it with his immediate family and trying to kill him?
