    A (mostly canon-compliant, if I did my homework) retelling of Part One of A Court of Mist and Fury from Rhysand's point of view.

    Three months after returning from Under the Mountain, Rhys is still struggling to readjust. His list of problems is endless: his mate is about to marry another male, there's unrest in his court, the war with Hybern looms, and on, and on, and on. He knows his friends worry over him, but he can't seem to shake the shadowy weight that has made its home over his shoulders.

    Little does he know that the stars have more in store for him than struggle and heartbreak. And it may take a while, but everything is about to change.

She wants Rhys, she wants him in every way, but if she gives into whatever exists between them will she just be proving Aramantha right? That she really is a traitor with an inconsistent human heart.
