Summary
Arthur weaved between the crowds, who were all too slow and had no sense of the emergency Arthur found himself in. No, they were all too busy admiring the snow that was only working to obstruct Arthur’s view.
He was halfway through one of those ramshackle Christmas villages that popped up to bait tourists with cheap gifts when something managed to stop him in his tracks.
“Hey! Oi, you! Prince Prat! Blondie!”
Prince Prat? Blondie?! Just who the hell did this guy think he was?
Or: Arthur isn't good at giving presents to his family and friends. Lucky for him, an incredibly rude old man and his "grandson" are willing to help him out.

"Arthur is there. He’s battered and bruised. There’s a cut on his forehead that oozes down his face. His lips and chin are caked with dried blood. His blue eyes shine with fear and hope and strength. And then turn on him in cold shock.

He’s stunned to see his friend standing before him. Standing at all.
Arthur is there, but so is Morgana. And she’s not surprised to see him."

“What?” Arthur stared at him as if Merlin had suddenly growled at him in Greek.
“It’s something my mum and I used to do, when we were really sad and needed a reminder that there’s always a bit of color in the world.”
Arthur's hurting after his break up with Mithian, so Merlin decides to paint Arthur's nails to cheer him up. Then Arthur keeps painting his nails, and maybe there's more happening under the surface than Merlin realizes.
