Summary
A Helldiver stuck in the middle of nowhere after an operation goes sideways. A Terminid Warrior struggling to adapt to the loss of her nest. An Automaton Commissar captured after a failed attack on a booby-trapped Super Destroyer. An Illuminate Overseer on a simple scouting mission that turned catastrophic.
When these vastly different worlds collide, sparks will fly, both good and bad, and the unlikely group will need to do their best to put aside their judgement and pride if they want to survive.

UPDATE: 6/15/2026
This series is not being abandoned, but being my first attempt at fanfiction, juggling multiple routes is hard. I have received feedback from other authors on pacing, emotional impact of key events, and other things. Rather than polish this series, I have decided to completely re-write it. The plan is to take each route by arcs of 3-4 chapters before swapping to work on another, rather than writing one or two chapters for a route and swapping them day to day. With this method I hope for better consistency and pacing, as well as doing side characters for the various routes better justice.
Thank you to everyone who had read these. It means a great deal to me that I have so many people who enjoy my writing already. Ashes Fall Like Snow (Revamped) (this may not be it's working title) will not be identical, but will hopefully be longer, higher quality, and more impactful.

Summary
Years after a tragic fire swept through Dunkeltaler, the array returns to business as usual, sacrificing canaries to continue operations despite the growing dangers of the forest. Dr. Jay is just one more victim fed to the grinder, slaving away until the woods claim him.
Someone did make it out of Dunkeltaler once, however, and in a move no one would have suspected, he's come back. Dr. Jay is not alone, he has allies who are looking to save not just him, but everyone from what's coming.
The end is near. There is only one thing that can be done to save humanity: Mass exodus of the entire human race.
