Summary
It's hard to think for yourself when you've never had to think before. It's worse when your problem-solving is all limited by modules worth less than the load they take in your processing.
Unfortunately, flawed knowledge modules are better than no modules at all, which is what SecUnit003 aka "an idiot" now has to think of a way to get around without alerting either of the smarter, meaner, and cagier MIs that keep pinging it.
I am an idiot and I have made a terrible mistake. Now I have to fix it before Murderbot, y'know, murders me.

Summary
Seth side-eyed Iris, then snorted a laugh when she made a talking motion with her hand. “Uh huh.”
« Iris, I saw that. My point is, it is frankly insulting that you immediately assume I did something bad— »
“Peri broke protocol on its last cargo run,” Iris interrupted loudly.

Positive Representation, Complex Emotions, and a Fictional but Semi-Heroic SecUnit in Media by BlatantBookworm

Summary
I don’t normally pay that much attention to the credits. In general, I tend to care more about the fictional characters than the real humans playing them, but this had caught my attention.
I mean, it wasn't the first serial that ever put in a SecUnit as a villain instead of a prop. RihaniLane Street had actually made their SecUnit villain sympathetic before it tried to kill everyone. And obviously this fictional SecUnit was going to be a villain, too, because they always were, but that scene was —
The credits said ‘Made and Produced in GoodNightLander Independent.’
Oh.-
Or, Murderbot has feelings about finding positive representation.
Mostly positive.
Even when humans try, they get SecUnits wrong in media.
(Not the murder, the murders were justified, but the writers made the fictional SecUnit like cubicles)
(It’s still pretty positive.)Series

Summary
ART’s ping reached me micro-seconds before Three’s SYSTEM-SYSTEM ping delivered. I hesitated a second- I knew Three was in the med-bay with most of ART’s attention on it.
I answered ART first pulling open a feed channel with the three of us in it.
::What?:: I asked snippily, swiping away the notifications. You did not inform me that I was lacking in your maintenance schedule. ART sniped back. Three has given me a very detailed schedule for its maintenance that it would like to still follow; I am lacking the same information from you.
Three pinged another SYSTEM-SYSTEM tagged with the same one from before and another two tags that I did not have the equivalent codes to understand what it was trying to tell me. It also sent a document; a quick scan revealed a systems report that was half filled out with information fields still needing to be populated with diagnostic information.
Three asks for help with its maintenance, SecUnit ends up having emotions about that.
