But there's a second where V thinks that maybe, just maybe, the Takemura of 2079 resembles the person who was sort of her friend once, and not the person that Arasaka made him.
That second is enough to make her decide to call him back. It’s not like she has much else to lose.

Mitch is content to watch from afar, helping in the background whenever he can. At least, that’s what he keeps telling himself.
