Summary
“Master Diluc, you are a genius!” he yelled, lunging in for a hug but Diluc was faster at dodging physical affection.
“I'm aware,” he said drily, pushing the bard-god away. “Why the sudden compliment?”
And Venti grinned, boyish and chaotic.
“I'm going to leave Mondstadt for a while. You know, meeting with old friends.”
Diluc raised an eyebrow. “Old friends?” he echoed. “From the Seven Nations?”
Venti nodded.
OR: in which venti drags his friends on a (company sponsored) road trip all around the continent they all collectively rule over.
“Let's go get Nahida!” Barbatos giggled. “We're going on a holiday! Company sponsored.”
“I thought we all quit,” she said.

Summary
“Nothing, it's just …” Varka slightly stuttered while trying to find the correct phrasing, “I think … I have a second opinion.”
Flins sighed, disappointed over himself, “I know … you don't need to tell me.”
Ah, this turned quite awkward indeed. They were supposed to have fun in Windblume today.
Varka huffed quietly, “How about this; let me dress you for today, and all payment will be covered by me. Sounds good?”
Flins let out a thoughtful hum to himself, his crystalfly landing on his shoulder as if mimicking his thinking train. The fae then began to move, not long after, steady steps approaching the waiting Grandmaster with his arms circling his neck, he smiled teasingly, “Then adorn me, Grandmaster Varka.”
”Adorn me with jewels and silk as you wish.”

Summary
Varka let out a shaky breath.
He looked at Flins' face again, searching for anything that might indicate the fae's life, even if his face was covered in blood and his eyes devoid of life. He knew it was futile, that there was no rekindling a snuffed-out flame, but he still tried—even if Lauma confirmed the death of the fae. Even if the Traveler explained what happened in a small, broken voice. Even if Columbina guided Varka's shaking hand to cover Flins' lifeless eyes, closing them down.
He swore he heard his heart crack.
OR: something something flins not surviving dottore's attack last minute and he died thinking of varka, wishing to turn back time before the battle to tell him ily and varka grieving him as he lived the rest of his life
