Summary
Roy and Edward are tasked to a mission together. Find a rouge Alchemist and bring them to justice. Simple mission enough only nothing can ever go his way. Their lead was false, a trap. The two are taken but are lucky to escape their grasp. Now they're alone, on the run trying to make it back to West Central City. Ed is beaten down and Roy is beyond tired and stressed trying to deal with his kid. To make matters worse he's gone without his heat suppressants and sick without his alpha. Leave it to Mama Roy to protect his kid and make it out alive.

The intruder enters the kitchen slowly, limbs held low to the ground. Their carapace tilts from side to side as they draw near, fixing their auricles on me.
The xenosuit they have on looks cobbled together, almost experimental. It’s not see-through like my team’s suits are. It wasn’t designed with my light detectors in mind. Instead, it’s dark and opaque, and not at all helping to dispel the impression of a masked burglar in my home.
I’ve never seen that body language in person before, but I understand it on an instinctual level. Eridians are the apex predators of their planet. It’s a hunting stance, and I am the prey.
