“You really want me to bring Hades all the way up here, interrupting his work, just to trim some of your leaves and water you?"
No reaction. Persephone took that as a yes.
“No. I’m not going to do that,” Persephone stated simply, resuming her task. However, sharp thorns searched for her fingers, yet again.
She stared at the plant angrily, "Seriously?”
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath.
Fine. If she wanted Persephone to make Hades come up here, that’s exactly what she would do.
Exactly that.

“Hades,” she whispered because she couldn’t seem to find the voice to do much else. She gently pulled away from him after letting him take another kiss. “You know we have to stop…”
She trailed off as she met his eyes, seeing something more sparked in them, something she hasn’t really seen from her collected and restrained lover. She had seen desire in that brilliant blue; she had seen love, longing, lust, and need. She had seen his dominant side come out, but it was still so controlled and self-possessed.
But this was darker. No less heated but a lot less controlled.
But as soon as the thought came, it was swept away when his mouth curved in one of his easy grins. A grin that would have been completely playful, had it not been for the fact that his eyes still held that wild glint. The combination just made him look a little… dangerous.
And incredibly sexy.

“Don’t you think you should be dressing more appropriately for the weather?”
She tilted her head slightly and stared at him through half-lidded eyes. “Oh, I don’t mind the cold at all,” she said as she crossed her legs. “In fact,” she toyed with the end of his tie, “I’m actually quite hot.”
He slightly leaned over her, each of his hands grabbing the edge of the desk on either side of her. “Do you think what you’ve been doing is funny?” His voice had an edge to it and god help her, it sent a thrill through her.
“You didn’t seem to be bothered by it.”
He scoffed, eyes darkening. “Did you really think ANY being has enough self-control to suppress what you’ve been trying to provoke?”
She slowly raised her face to his, lips almost touching his, before whispering,
“Then let go.”

“Thank you, your majesty,” she responded with a smirk, trying to hide the shiver she felt seeing his gaze run over her figure.
