Summary
Draco Malfoy has always had a difficult time feeling like what he went through was real, that it was serious enough to be considered a problem. He didn't have the scars from years of abuse to prove what happened. Sometimes he wished his father had lost control enough to leave some; maybe then his mother would have believed him. Maybe he wouldn't have been told it was something he imagined. Maybe someone would have noticed the fear in his eyes when people fought, or the anxiety he had eating in loud spaces. Maybe they would have even realized his bravado was just a mask. He wasn't sure he wanted them to know that-he just knows he wishes he could prove it and people wouldn't call him crazy.
At least he did until Harry found his old diary from their 3rd year at Hogwarts. Right around the time he moved in with Severus and Harry had been taken from his aunt and uncle. Now he's sure he wished it had all stayed buried.
