The toddler stomped the sand as the mer stretched his hand further away, out of reach for the upset kid.
"-Hmmmmm...How about, no."
Shanks throws the ball up in the air just to catch it back with his hand, watching the pouting toddler with a taunting smile.
Luffy could only watch as the mer held captive his beloved beach ball.
'This is too easy. I can't wait to hear the symphony of gurgling this snotty nose brat will make as I drag him under the foamy waves to the bottom of the sea.' Glee sparks in red eyes at the mental image.
Or Shanks is a probably (definitely) murderous mer. Luffy has no self-preservation instincts and goes "You are my friend now" and it's getting worse before it gets better
Or or Author craves Shanks and Luffy brotherly fluff fics and decides to make their own.

Summary
No se supone que estuviera ahí, el no debería estar en ese lugar. Él ejército revolucionario no tenía cabida en la guerra entre la marina y el Yonko barba blanca. Pero aquí estaba, salvando la vida del pequeño supernova, Monkey D. Luffy y él no podría estar más agradecido.
En un pequeño instante una parte de él, que murió aquel día en el accidente con el dragón celestial, había vuelto.
Sabo había estado sin recuerdos, vacío, intentando llenar lo olvidado con sus colegas y lo vivido en el ejército revolucionario, aún así siempre sentía que algo le faltaba. Ese día al fin pudo tener una pieza de aquel rompecabezas, logró recordar a una de las personas que más amaba y nunca más lo dejaría ir, no estaba dispuesto a soltarlo aún si eso significa declararle la guerra al mundo entero. Pelearía contra la marina e incluso lucharía contra los piratas. Todo con tal de mantener a su hermano menor a salvo.
Después de tanto tiempo al fin había recuperado una pieza del rompecabezas y Sabo no la dejaría ir e incluso si tenía que pelear por ello con el otro "supuesto” hermano mayor. No le importaba ser perseguido y cazado por el comandante de la segunda división de Yonko Barba blanca: Portgas D. Ace.
