Summary
After his loss Sochi, Ilya visits Moscow to see the only two things worth coming home for: his niece and his mama's grave. Unfortunately, a heated exchange with Alexei causes him to flee the country in the middle of the night without letting anyone know.
As he spends 30-something miserable hours trying to get to Boston with a dead phone and nothing to entertain him, the hockey world's thrown into disarray when an article about his affair with Sasha is published. Ilya seems to have disappeared overnight. While the hockey world grapples with the clash of homophobia and the very real consequences of getting outed, Shane Hollander, freshly returned from Sochi, makes a desperate trip to Boston to get to his rival. He knows it's be futile; he just needs to do something.

“It’s-it’s complicated.” He catches the present tense too fucking late to do anything about it, and he barely resists the urge to either groan or slip forward to start beating his head against the coffee table.
Fuck his fucking life.
“You’re still…seeing this person?” His mom asks, and the amount of control he can hear her exerting is almost painful. “Who is-”
“Yuna,” his dad cuts in, voice quiet, “maybe give him a second, yeah?”
Yeah, Shane agrees in his head. Give him a second.
Maybe give him a decade while they’re at it.
(when shane's old fake id falls out of his wallet around his parents, he has to explain that it was to book hotel rooms before he was 21)

Summary
Shane needs to impress Ilya, to show him what a good Omega he can be. He’s painfully aware of his differences to all the other Omegas he’s seen hanging off Ilya’s arm as well as the fact that he’s always been considered an anomaly as an Omega in a sport dominated by Alphas. Ilya has never treated him as anything less than because of that, but Shane still feels the need to prove himself.
So that maybe the Alpha would want to come help with his heats in the future, too. So that maybe, just maybe, he would want to keep Shane.
It definitely wouldn’t happen if he couldn’t get something as simple as a fucking nest right.
Shane breaks down under self-inflicted pressure. Ilya is there to pick up the pieces (and to tell him he was perfect to begin with).

Summary
The Québec provincial registration portal crashes multiple times because of traffic. It does this every year, like clockwork, and no one is ever surprised. Every year people try to figure out which celebrities have signed up, which big names in hockey may or may not participate. Rumors spread for weeks during the registration process: anonymous athlete sightings, leaked scent profiles, illegal drones trying to map out any new protected zones and flesh out anything that may have changed about the old ones.
Shane stares at the blinking cursor beside his name.

"Mm, in showers," Ilya nodded, smile teasing as he added, "reminded me of old times."
"Fuck off," Shane grumbled, punching Ilya playfully in the shoulder. "Did you tell them how inappropriate that is? How-"
"Moy lyubimiy, I did not stay to chat, is bad manners," Ilya sighed, pulling his Omega against his chest despite the grumbling. "I will give very stern talking to later. No one will ever dare to get off in showers but us."

Or, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are leading the centaurs to their second Stanley Cup and enjoying a love lived out in the open. It's not always easy. Ilya's still learning to be an Alpha. Shane's still learning to let him. Luca Haas is still a busy body and Troy Barrett definitely needs therapy, but everyone is working on it. They're a team and they're keeping it together on the road to success... kind of.
