Edward Elric was dead. Like, fully dead. Heart no longer beating, massive blood loss, soul exiting this mortal plane, type of dead. However, that apparently wasn’t enough to make him stop existing. Ed just wants to rest goddamnit, but Truth is being a right bastard about the whole situation.
...
Or, Ed dies, but unbeknownst to his friends and family, his soul sticks around. He makes do for several years — until an alchemist performs human transmutation to try and bring him back to life. The crazy thing is… it works.

More like a victim of a natural disaster. As if he had spent hours on the roof escaping a flood, only to be carried away by a tornado.

Or, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy are basically chaotic forces of nature, destined from birth to end the world and bring destruction. Most who hear of the tale of them are trying their best to track them down, and to end the monsters while they’re still young, still just children.
Phil has a different plan.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Summary
The Beheaded wakes up to find the small place he’s found home to be strangely still. He’s on edge but not really worried until he finds a note from his missing partner that all but spells out that he needs to find them fast if he ever wants to see him again. He quickly decides to check the town center because he has reason to think that it’s connected to the fate Drifter was shown (and that Drifter has said he’s finally going to meet).
He really just hopes he makes it in time.
Meanwhile Drifter is certain that he won’t ever wake up again. He’s wrong.
Aka- these two still are in my brain! I wrote most of this weeks ago but decided to finally just post it as a birthday present to myself. As of now the first chapter is done, the second just needs reread and the third (and final planned) is about half way done. So hopefully not too much waiting for this one :)

Grian has lived through three lives already. His first in the desert in the 14th century. His second in a lawless land filled with death and disease in the 17th century. His third in a secluded rural area, desperate to get away from urbanisation in the 19th century. Thanks to disrupting Martyn's spell, Grian was now living out a fourth life in the 21st century. As well as rapid evolving and technology that Grian simply cannot grasp, Martyn keeps insisting that he's got a surprise for Grian. Which can only mean a recipe for petty disaster.
