Olruggio crumbles. On hands and knees he crawls to him, dragging himself across the jagged shards of their hearts that litter the ground, a pilgrimage, a supplicant. He grasps at the robes of his god and begs for lenity.
"Qifrey. Qifrey, Qifrey," he prays. "Forgive me. My love, forgive me, please."
In the days after they have returned from the Great Hall following the events of the second test, Qifrey finds out that Olruiggio's kindness is just as inescapable as his own madness.

Zagreus pushes him onto his back on the grass, killing more of it. Behind him, his feet melt more snow. The sounds of blades of grass snapping and snow melting and their bodies shifting fills the air and through it, Zagreus whispers, “I don’t like when you’re quiet for so long.”
Thanatos’s hair falls from his forehead. On his back, he looks smaller, less formidable, more like the image of him Zagreus holds in his mind and in his heart. “I told you once before not to take my silence the wrong way… and yet you still try to misinterpret me. Your mind is like a maze. Your thoughts run into each other.”

nbd just the most achingly beautiful portrayal of thanatos and zagreus I ever read, and of loving a person just the way they are while also communicating what you need from them although it is contrary to their nature, and how trying/learning to give smth that isn't intrinsic to you for the sake of your love doesn't need to be painful or scary

A year has passed since the Phantom Thieves struck down a god and saved Tokyo from a terrible fate. But when people all over the globe begin to suffer from "Paranoia Syndrome," mysterious seizures which leave them contorted and unconscious, Akira Kurusu finds himself in the Velvet Room once more, demanding answers for the affliction. His investigation leads him to the Dead Sea, the rotted remnants of the cognitive world, where all things go to be forgotten - including someone the Thieves had thought to be long gone.

Felix knows that it was necessary to place Byleth next to Dimitri as much as possible. It’s good to have the political and religious leaders of Fódlan beside each other as a united front, just like during the war.
It doesn’t mean he has to like it.
He doesn’t at all like sitting in silence next to the boar while he keeps leaning over to speak to Byleth, or that Byleth, of all people, keeps making the boar laugh.
When the Archbishop visits the kingdom capital, Felix is forced to confront feelings for Dimitri he has spent years harbouring in silence. However, admitting those feelings is only the beginning in a steep path that will lead him back to Dimitri, unless the secrets they keep unspoken drive Felix away from him for good. After all, to love is to be vulnerable, but when somebody has been forged by loss and duty, how do you learn to peel away the armour that keeps them safe?
