I was basically just wandering through the Backrooms wiki's original works when I stumbled upon this ABSOLUTE GEM. It has the most interesting lore, I love the main character Elias and how he deals with his situation , + Joey is super cool and I still have so many unanswered questions, plus it’s just really uncanny at times which captures the essence the back rooms perfectly!!! , the way we learn of new information is so well integrated and the whole reason Elias is experiencing the plot in the first place is such a cool freaking concept plus his backstory!!, and the way that Neverender leaves off is INSANE. I just want more of this and I can't comment on the original source the work is on so I'm just suffering because it's so good!!! :D

Prompt: Pepper's seen plenty of Tony's one night stands, but she's also seen a few of his actual attempts at relationships, and they've worked out codes for who's serious and who isn't, who has some nasty background they've been hiding or is cheating, who's obnoxious to her when Tony leaves the room, et cetera, so they can discuss it without the other person cluing in. And some general evaluations, of course, because Tony values Pepper's opinion in everything, and is pretty sure she knows what's good for him better than he does, even if he does usually resist.
Pepper has some interesting things to say about Bruce.

A Komi Can't Communicate/Ace Attorney Crossover that takes place during Tadano and Komi's first year/Mid-Dual Destinies.
Ever since he was kidnapped by Ren Yamai, Hitohito Tadano has suffered recurring nightmares of the incident, alongside attempts by her to get him to break off his friendship with Shouko Komi. After another encounter with her, Tadano passes out and awakens to find Yamai battered and collapsed on the ground, and the weapon that presumably caused it in his hand, making him the prime suspect in her assault. Upon hearing that he was arrested for the crime, Komi and Najimi become desperate to save their friend and turn to the Wright Anything Agency to help clear his name, as well as learn why he has been so distant and depressed.

This work is incredibly well written, the characterization of Silent Salt Cookie is crazy tragic and so interesting and fun to read , Nox is adorable, the whole trio of Charcoal, Pastry and White Lily cookie is so solid and their dynamic with Silent Salt is also adorable, and GOD the writing style is just so good - you can just feel what SSC feels and just understand it and his grief and all his turmoil and shame and emotions especially when he mentions his memories of the Beasts when they used to be his friends, contrasted with the hatred of them now like oh my god, and I love the way h the r author writes about the atmosphere with their descriptive words, and also how SSC honors the knights and how he still maintains his honor to Solidarity while vowing silence unto the beasts??
Not to mention the WORLDBUILDING with the elements (HOW SSC GOT THE STEEL ELEMENT IS SOOO SWEET AND SAD AGHHHHH) and the beasts’ territories being their prisons, Charcoal being a descendant of Coal Cookie who we will hopefully learn more about, and just? The interactions between WLC and her party and Silent Salt, how he zones out and cringes away from touch after being alone and betrayed by all his old friends for so long, after the only company he’s had for decades being the spirits he slayed, the spirits that flee at the very sight of him?
Charcoal, Pastry and While Lily not being able to directly translate his writing language because it’s that of a dead kingdom of a forgotten time, one destroyed by the Beasts and slayed by his hand, and EEHRGRHEHH. I love this, I barely even go here but I love this, and am excited to see where the author goes with it!
and AHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT END NOTE OF CH3?? THE REALIZATION THAT SSC’s ‘old friend’ wasn’t elder farie, but it was all the beasts— his friends, the virtues- and in those ways, those fond memories, those elements he learned, the beasts never became, it was just his old friends. The virtues, whom he trusted, whom he cared about, whom he sees the echoes of their old virtuous selves everywhere, and carries their memories tainted as they are like an aching wound, carries parts of his friends with him, the parts of them that were good- carries them in his elemental magic, in the weight of his hand as he writes, in his very soul jam really- and those cookies, those friends who made him who he was, who changed him, who he relied upon, trusted, who he loved- they don’t exist anymore, not the virtues he knew, but beasts of sin, corrupted monsters, which makes his resentment of them and his vow to silence them no matter what it takes all the more bitter, all the more tragic and aching, and just- god this story is so insanely good . Rec!!!
