Namjoon doesn't look away when he asks quietly, “Jin, will his blood save Jimin?”
The fear jolting through Jungkook's limbs intensifies, and Jin doesn't look away from Jimin’s grey face as he takes a short breath. “It… maybe. But… Jungkook might... not make it.”
Everything is greying, wavering, and there's a faint ringing in his ears as he holds out a shaking arm in front of him, fingers trembling from the frigid cold or the paralyzing fear. Namjoon’s voice is steady when he speaks. “Jungkook, we don’t want to hurt you-”
“Then don’t, please, please don’t hurt me!” Jungkook cries. “Please, they - they hurt me so much already, please.”
He yanks at the torn shirt, pulls it open desperately, hears their sharp intakes of breath at the ragged bites on his neck, his deeply bruised arms and shoulders, the scabbing flesh over his ribs. Hoseok shudders and closes his eyes. There's no change in Namjoon’s expression, but Taehyung’s eyes are wide where he still kneels beside Jimin's unconscious form, and Jin looks devastated.

It's nearing midnight when Yoongi hears the knock, quiet and tentative, almost inaudible beneath the crashing thunder and deafening downpour of rain. Warily eying his apartment door, he rises and pads quietly towards it, hesitating for a moment before he carefully tugs it open just enough to peer out at whoever has braved the monsoon outside this late at night, what they could possibly want. It’s a kid. A young boy, teenager probably, absolutely sopping wet, with dark hair plastered against his forehead, big eyes red-rimmed and shining with misery and fear. He’s shaking visibly, clinging to the door frame as if it’s the only thing keeping him upright. The alarm is flaring through Yoongi, and his heart thuds hard in his chest as he blinks once, then again. When his words emerge, they’re hoarser, more breathless than he intends. “Can… can I help you?”
The boy’s eyes fill with tears that immediately spill over, and his whisper is choked. “P-please.” -

The unfamiliar young werewolf has been joyfully nuzzling against Yoongi's shoulder for at last fifteen minutes when Jin steps in, apologetic expression on his beautiful features as he sees the stiff way Yoongi is frozen within Jungkook’s embrace.
“I love you.” Jungkook declares emphatically again, beaming at Yoongi. “I love you.”
“Oh, Jungkook.” Jin sighs, shaking his head.
In the end, Jin has to forcibly pry Jungkook off of Yoongi, and Jungkook bursts into tears as Yoongi stares, absolutely bewildered. Jin is embarrassed as he explains that new werewolves who’ve been in traumatic situations at the time of the bite will sometimes latch onto a safe scent for the first few weeks until their inner wolf settles. Jin promises he’ll keep an eye on Jungkook, apologizes again, and wrestles a crying Jungkook out the door. And Jin is responsible and dedicated to the wolves he takes in, so Yoongi doesn’t worry about it any further.
But the very next day, when Yoongi unlatches the front doors, he turns to see Jungkook standing in the doorway, big eyes lighting up when he spots Yoongi, dashing across the room to dive into his arms and beam up at him.
