Simon comes home from a walk in Stockholm exhausted. He self harms cause he's having a rough day, when he's done David spawns in, they have some fluff before more angst. I'm REALLY bad at summaries, but I put my very BEING into this fic.
If that's not good enough here's a quote from the story, idk I'm really bad at summaries HELLPP
"David snaps back at the emergence of his weak voice. He feels gloved hands wrap around him and squeeze; pulling him into a tight hug- and god does it feel good it feels so fucking good to be held, he feels safe, comforted. He sobs harder, theres nothing he can do- no words he can say to even begin articulate how he feels at this moment. Its all too overwhelming- too much. All he can do is to continue to mutter broken apologies into David’s chest.
David buries his nose in his hair, removing one of his hands to firmly plant one on the nape of his neck, pressing Simon further into his body."

It’s a hard sell, because he’s been everywhere, to the other side of the universe and back and then some; if good is out there, he’d have found it by now. But he nods, as he stands from his chair, and agrees. To try — and actually means it, because if nothing else, he keeps his word.

He practically collapses where he stands when they all teleport back, thinks practically would’ve been a definitely if Peter’s arm hadn’t been there to grab him at the last second and keep him upright. Which is sort of a metaphor for the United Front and the whole damn war, in a way; how many times would the whole thing have fallen apart, how many times would he have fallen flat on his face and betrayed himself to everyone as a Long Island schmuck in way over his head rather than some kind of leader that can be counted on, if it weren’t for Peter having his back, his arm, or anything else? Maybe he’d killed Annihilus in the end, and it’d been the result of his own insane plan, but he would’ve never been in the position to make it in the first place without Peter.
Peter or Gamora, both. He wouldn’t have made it to the end of this war without both of them by his side.
