It isn’t often that Din speaks in Mando’a. His basic is fluent, and even when he’s just talking to Grogu, who responds to basic just as much as he responds to Mando’a—meaning none at all, as far as Din can tell at least—he prefers to use basic than his clan’s language. Only a few times Luke catches him switch to Mando’a.
Or, 5 times Luke doesn't understand Mando'a and 1 time he does.
