Sharpened point into giving flesh. Crimson eyes boring into flickering lashes. The Hero, alone, not a soul to call upon. The shadow, alone, a tool. A prop weapon never sharpened. Now, they were alone together, as it always was.
Its hands shook with the weight of it. It just had to do it. Just follow through.
The shadow closed its eyes.. and let go. the sword plummeting down, down, down
It'll never forget the sound of Link's body cutting apart-
Legend is actually the //shadow// link of the Hero of Legend, having killed his original (and a part of himself) at fourteen! Whoops! And then he goes on this crazy adventure with eight other heroes who all think he's both a good person and also hylian. What's a guy to do but desperately hide it from them?

Summary
Fable was used to take decisions that were at least a little thought through.
She, of course, had spontaneous ideas, but always took the time to ponder before she engaged herself on serious decisions, especially if these choices were to impact her and others' lives.
It went without saying, though, that the choice to impersonate the hero of Legend had been a ‘spur of the moment’ kind of thing. It made her wonder whether the wisdom she was supposed to be blessed with had stayed behind the portal, or if her brother had too much of a bad influence on her.
…There were way too many things that she hadn't been ready for.

What is the point?

There’s no point to that now. He doesn’t bother. Were someone to come across his research, they wouldn’t understand it anyway. Even if they did, there would be no way to apply it.
He draws arrays pointlessly, knowing that he’ll never be able to use them.
