Ace had only just sailed off and was already causing trouble. Hearing his name being known more to the world is what he's always wanted and he's proud of it. Accidentally eating a devil fruit changed his whole life. It's almost been a year since he started sailing and he's been making smooth progress. His own crew, reliable friends, and a fun adventure. All he needs to do is get a little bit used to his devil fruit and then assassinate the "World's Strongest Man". No biggie.

Comforted in spite of himself, the boy rolled over to better snuggle down into the warm softness, and fell instantly asleep.
Or: being the Pirate King’s son means a lot of people unknowingly tell Ace he never should have been born. It also means several items formerly belonging to Gold Roger make their way into his possession, whether he wants them to or not.

Kakashi Hatake isn’t who he says he is.
Because the truth is that he’s actually a youkai in disguise, a wolf spirit named Madara who stumbled across the Hatake clan during the Warring States Period. Intrigued by the shinobi he saw, he’d proposed a temporary alliance in which he would offer the clan protection in exchange for their teachings.
Decades later, Madara is surprised to find himself inadvertently summoned to Konoha by the last living member of the Hatake clan. Sakumo Hatake, who is mourning the recent deaths of his wife and stillborn child, doesn’t want to be alone anymore. So with his permission, Madara takes the place of Sakumo’s deceased son in order to watch over the last Hatake.
(Fusion in which the youkai of Natsume’s Book of Friends all exist in the Naruto world. No knowledge of Natsume’s Book of Friends required).

He then gets closer to him than he’d ever expected, but he’s not exactly complaining.
(Maybe Kakashi should have realized that pretending to be a dog and leaning into canine instincts while harboring some seriously questionable kinks and desires would have some consequences.)

Summary
Hatake Kakashi - seasoned ANBU, dedicated Jōnin of Konohagakure and delightful sensei of Team 7 (in his opinion) - wonders what the hell he is doing teaching a bunch of snot-nosed, bratty civilian children magic. Apparently, he's a Professor of Mysteries at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ironic, considering how blatantly obvious (or frustratingly vague) some things in the wizarding world are.
Either way, he supposes he should make the most of it. His mission, after all, is indefinitely posted at this castle in the magical countryside. And there's plenty of threats looming their head around the corner.
Also, he has to work out what all the fuss about this "Moldyshorts" guy is too, apparently.
