"Is that what you think I am?" she dared ask. "Your prey?"
"Oh, my sweet thing," he purred. "Only if you want to be."
The seconds passed, each one a chance to flee not taken, a choice made to stay. Then, when he knew she wanted not to escape but to be ensnared, Astarion closed the distance. His thumb swept across her parted lips, his hips pressed flush against hers, and she wanted desperately to take him, any part of him, inside her. Wanted him to unravel all that was tightly wound within her, her emotions unbound, her inhibitions undone.
"And you do want to be," he said, self-satisfied and smug, "don't you?"
Enigma knows she shouldn't want Astarion. Knows he is dangerous. Knows he must be looking for something more than she can give.
She can't help but want him anyway.
(Or: a song-inspired fic in which a tiefling Tav and Astarion spend a night together in the woods.)

Astarion slides his hand to the back of your neck, and then up — tangling his fingers in your hair.
You choke back another moan, trying to force yourself not to beg for more. More contact, more words, less control. “What are you doing?” you ask, already breathless.
Astarion holds your head in place and leans close enough that his lips brush against yours when he speaks. “Giving you what you clearly so desperately need.”
