When Louis became king, he threw away the crown– tossed it out the throne room window like a piece of trash– while Will stood there with his mouth agape. Louis arched a brow at him, his lips curling mischievously upwards like an amused cat.
“You…why did you…?”
“What use have we for that rubbish?” Louis said, tone light as if discussing the weather. “Besides, if we are both to be King, a single crown will not suffice.”
The implication nearly made Will's heart stop. His incredulity must've shown plainly on his face. “If we…what?”
