Sakura has always liked dark-haired men.
After the Fourth Shinobi War, the man she loves leaves her behind once again. Determined to move on, she throws herself into the company of other men. Other dark-haired men. Until the one she's convinced she's always loved comes back to her. And then she doesn't get to complain anymore. She finally has the man of her dreams.
Then Tsunade sends her on a mission with a man she knows all too well—an old Hokage who's been acting strangely. Nothing about it should unsettle her. It's him. Calm, infuriatingly composed, and someone who's saved her life more times than she can count. If she had to be paired with anyone, she couldn't have asked for a safer choice.
She should be fine.
Instead, everything feels wrong from the very beginning. It's ridiculous. It's him. She must be tired.
