“Yeah,” Bakugo sighs and leans back on his hands, staring at the bracer. “I know. I’ll go,” his mouth twists a little. “I’ll go tomorrow. This is just- this is my design you know?” he’s not explaining himself very well, and refuses to look at Kirishima.
“It can be hard to give up your first hero design, and you did a great job,” Kirishima said. “You definitely had the best one out of all of us when we first got our costumes."
Bakugo hunched his shoulders. “I didn’t design it,” he grumbled.

Somehow, his eyes are the brightest they’ve ever been. “So… sentimental… for such– a shitty world, you’re really… something else…” the hand gripping Regto’s goes slack. For the first time since Regto’s taken him in more than a decade ago, there’s no tremors wracking charred, black skin, nor involuntary twitches and spasms.

“Nothing like this,” Rudo said emphatically, gesturing vaguely even though this room wasn’t decorated like the mess hall or the town. They’d get the point. “Nothing that I’ve seen with decorations like you guys have here. Nothing so…colorful. And cheerful. Everyone out there today looked so… actually happy.”
Rudo gets introduced to a Ground holiday. It is entirely different to what the word holiday has meant to him all his life.

One might ponder why having two solar flares orbiting him would be a positive when half the time it resulted in him sweating his ass off. The person who thought that way was a fool, though, because as with all things related to raising two traumatized teenagers, the pros always outweighed the cons.
The wicked chills that accompanied the year's end were settling into every corner of the Cleaner's HQ. While the place had heating, it wasn't the newest or the most sufficient system ever installed. Often, it broke down and needed repairs, which meant several days spent in an unheated room if one was unlucky. Enjin had been unlucky more times than he could count.
In came his saving grace, the most glorious benefit of mentoring he’d acquired: two teenagers with nightmares afraid to sleep in their own beds.

Enjin keeps collecting strays, and the pile of kids that invade his space for snuggle time keeps coincidentally increasing.
