pregame rantaro and shuichi went to the same school, they were aquantences, they were mostly opposites, rantaro was somewhat passive aggressive, popular, and is still trying to figure out his sexuality, shuichi on the other hand, hes shy, quiet, barely shows emotion, pansexual and hyper sexual, he also has attachment and abandonment issues and faced SA trauma and is kinda a masochist, pervert, and bullied in school, but is very smart and good at detective casesRanatro and shuichi don't really have a opinion on each other, but after a fieldtrip to the aquarium everything changed, the got closer and closer, however, that meant shuichi was at rantaros side during these big High school parties with alcohol, dirty games and drugs, then they got closer to the point where they got kind of freaky in the bathroom, then they started dating but then Danganronpa killing harmony took place and during rantaros recording to in game rantaro he mentions shuichi and to just shoot his shot, along with the rest of the speech
