Susie ran through the pouring rain, legs screaming as she ignored the burning pain across her back, pretending she couldn't feel the red liquid that was leaving a trail behind her, she didn't have the time to worry about that as she broke into the school like so many nights before.
Hurrying into the closet and barricading it with the discarded file cabinet as she hurriedly but gently put everything she could into the rooms furthest corner, hiding it behind the TV her tried body couldn't make move as the door inside rattled dangerously.
The dragon could only hope it'd be enough as she looked to a white ribbon next to her feet before focusing on protecting her friends.
Pretending to not know how her body shook, how she could feel warm water dripping from her face, how she was covering the TV with her body best she could, holding onto him for dear life.

"You want me to be honest?" Spamton said sharply. "You want the truth so badly? Well, here it is. I'm tired of this life, Ant! I want... I want more."
Tenna stopped. His screen flickered once, twice. Slowly, he slid back down the couch before he repeated, "More?"
"C'mon, Tens! More!" Spamton flung his arms out wildly to the worn furniture, the second-hand junk, the walls made of scrap they'd welded together themselves. "More than this."

In the Trash Heap Undertale AU, Spamton has a decision to make. He could stay here, in the home he and Tenna built. He could spend his days with the love of his life, in the garbage dump with their family.
Or, he could finally become a Big Shot.
(It turns out, we already know how this story goes. Spamton runs. Tenna doesn't go after him.)

Tenna's smile was absolutely pristine. He even raised the left side, since it naturally sloped down further due to the cracks. It was every ounce of stage performance he'd once claimed.
It wasn't his real smile. This was the smile he used years ago, when he'd been so desperate to make Spamton like him. It had taken so long to let his guard down, and it had been even longer since Spamton saw that too-perfect mask.
That's how Spamton realized something was wrong. This wasn't his partner - this was a performer, putting on a show.

After the fourth rejection on a TV Time reboot, Tenna decides to go back to his more humble roots in Hometown. Between chasing his former stardom and raising a fiery teenager, Tenna has left nothing up to chance. He has accounted for every possible surprise...except for the one where Spamton G. Spamton is Hometown's new postman. When his daughter Susie befriends Spamton's ward Noelle, it gives him a chance to mend bridges with his former partner. However, a decade changes people. Will the two find each other again, or is the idea of 'them' just as faded as Tenna's stardom?
Moving to Hometown was supposed to be a fresh start for Susie. After being treated as an outcast at her former school, all she wants for her new one is to fade into the background. Besides, a few kind faces won't change anything, and it's easier being alone. When the people in this town are nothing like she expects, Susie has to decide if she will let fear of rejection continue to control her life, or if some people are worth letting walls down for.
